The new joint border crossing point between Albania and Montenegro, Grabom - Zetrijebacka Cijevna, was inaugurated today. Present at the meeting were the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama and the delegation of the Albanian government, while from the Montenegrin side, the Prime Minister of Montenegro, Zdravko Krivokapic and the delegation of the Montenegrin government.
The opening of the new border point will have a direct impact on increasing trade and tourist exchanges between the two countries, will also significantly shorten the distance between the main areas where Albanians live in Montenegro, where the distance of the Municipality of Tuz and Plava e Gucisë, from 270 km reduced to 90 km. It will also have a positive impact on facilitating the passage of tourists who wish to visit the Bjeshkët e Namuna, which in turn increases the opportunities for the development of the Kelmendi area. While during the harsh winter conditions, this border crossing enables the movement of citizens of the area on both sides of the border, especially in the Tamara Administrative Unit, avoiding blockages from snow.
