Albanian talent will perform works by prominent composers, such as Mozart, Ravel, Beethoven, Bach and Bartok.
Teddy Papavrami was born in Tirana in 1971. He became associated with the violin at the age of four. He studied the violin with his father, the famous Albanian Professor Robert Papavrami, who has greatly influenced his artistic future. At the age of 8, he performed “Arie Bohemienne of Sarasate with the Tirana Philharmonic Orchestra and three years later Paganini's First Violin Concerto.
He was very talented and his father believed a lot in his talent. The latter was determined for Teddy to become someone in life. In September 1982, thanks to the flutist Alain Marion, the French government offered him a scholarship to study in France at the Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique in Paris, under the direction of Pierre Amoyal.
In 1985 he won the "Rodolfo Lipitzer" competition in Gorizia, in 1986 he won unanimously the first prize of the Paris Conservatory, in 1987 he received the diploma of the Conservatory of Lausanne. He then attended music studies under the direction of Zino Francescati and Viktoria Mullova. In 1992 he was awarded the George Enescu Prize by Sacem and in 1993 he won the first prize and the special public prize at the Sarasate International Competition in Pamplona.
In addition to his career as a violinist, Teddy has translated the works of Ismail Kadare after the death of Jusuf Vrioni in 2002 and plays the main character in the 'Provincial Chronicle' film. He has performed in Europe, South Africa, Turkey, Japan, Israel, with well-known orchestras such as the Orchestra di Bologna, Bamberger Symphoniker, etc. He has performed under the direction of well-known conductors such as K. Sanderling, C. Hogëood, A. Pappano, L. Langree, G. Varga, Mr. Macal, J. C. Casadesus, etc.
