Aldi Rama kills himself, the killer of the Police officer in Lezha

 Aldi Rama, the killer of the Police officer yesterday in Lezha, passed away at the Trauma Hospital in Tirana, at 5:35 am on Wednesday. He shot himself in the head with a pistol bullet and his condition was serious, doctors had not given him hope for life.

The State Police announced that "around 05:35 this morning, the perpetrator, citizen Aldi Rama, died at the Trauma Hospital in Tirana. Forensic experts, in the presence of the investigative group and under the direction of the Prosecution of "The Lezha Judicial District is conducting an autopsy and all other legal actions. The special investigative group continues to work on the full documentation of the event."

The 21-year-old was sent yesterday around 18:00 to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana, after he shot himself in the conditions of the siege for over 5 hours by the RENEA forces in Lezha Island, without agreeing to surrender. No family member was with him until late last night. He was from Librazhd, but lived with his grandparents in Lezha, as his father was in prison in Greece and his divorced mother lives in Greece.

The video below shows the moment where Rama committed the murder of officer Saimir Hoxha, tha later asked Rama for the documents. While without agreeing to show the documents, Rama suddenly shot the officer twice in the chest and neck and left quickly by car, escaping the bullets of the officer's colleagues.


While the Police officially announced that the effective Saimir Hoxha was killed with two bullets by the 21-year-old Aldi Rama in Vain, Lezha Island.

In the tragic event that happened on Tuesday, there were three police officers, two civilians, and one in a phosphorescent vest with the inscription 'Police'.

The report stated that the control group had burned 62 narcotic plants and about 500 meters away, they had stopped the car type "Volkswagen" where the killer was in the back seat and the two arrested Armando Marku and Kristjan Sherri.

They got out of the car and responded to the order of the officers for control, while Aldi Rama replied "I am not to be controlled".

"At that moment, he pulled out a TT pistol and fired two bullets at the police officer, seriously injuring him," the official statement said.

 The two civilians tried to stop the vehicle using the service weapon, a situation proven by 9 cartridges found at the scene that coincided with the weapons of the police officers.

Aldi Rama abandoned the vehicle on foot and ran away and was found after 5 hours of police searching.

Police reported that he was called for about 45 minutes to surrender, but he refused and injured himself in the head.

He was first taken to the hospital in Lezha and then brought to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana where he lost his life.
