Serbia is provoking a serious international conflict, Kurti says

The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti said that the preliminary investigations show that the burning of the building of the Vehicle Registration Center in Zubin Potok and that of the Civil Registration in Zvecan, were not accidental, but intentional.

Kurti has accused Serbia of provoking a serious international conflict with such actions.

"Individuals or groups whose rule of law and public order and security endanger criminal activity are attacking our state and disturbing the peace. They are clearly encouraged and supported by Serbia, namely the autocratic regime there. Unfortunately, in the eyes of the international community, Serbia is using the citizens of Kosovo to provoke a serious international conflict," Kurti wrote on the social network Facebook.

According to him, two hand grenades were dropped in Zvecan, but which "did not explode".

He said such acts would not be tolerated while calling on citizens in the north of the country to remain calm and co-operate with institutions.

For the sixth day in a row, two national roads leading to the border crossings in Jarinje and Brnjak have been blocked by trucks and other vehicles set up by local Serbs. Serbian citizens are opposing the reciprocity measure for Serbian license plates, which the Government of Kosovo imposed on September 20th.
