Ursula von der Leyen visits firstly Tirana in her visit to the Western Balkans

 Ahead of the EU-Western Balkans Summit scheduled for October 6, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen will be in the Western Balkans from Tuesday to Thursday to visit Albania, North Macedonia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The President will start her trip to Tirana, tomorrow morning, where she will be received by Prime Minister Edi Rama and President Ilir Meta

The news was confirmed by the Ambassador of the European Union in Albania, Luigi Soreca, who through a post on Twitter revealed the agenda of President von der Leyen.

Soreca reveals that the Chief Commissioner will meet with Prime Minister Rama and President Ilir Meta, as well as participate in the inauguration of the school "Korb Muça" and the kindergarten "Europa", which have been restored from the damage of the November 26 earthquake with EU funds.


"I look forward to welcoming President Ursula von der Leyen! Ahead of the European Union and Western Balkans Summit in October 6. The president will visit the region this week, starting her trip from Tirana tomorrow morning. She will be received by Prime Minister Edi Rama and President Ilir Meta.

"Afterwards, she will take part, together with the Prime Minister, in the inauguration of the Korb Muça School and Kindergarten Europa, which were built with EU funds under the EU4School program after the devastating earthquake of November 2019", writes Soreca on Twitter.
