37.8% of Albania's population infected by COVID: survey

 37.8% of Albanians say they are affected by COVID-19. In other words, approximately 830,000 citizens.

The result of the September-October survey by Euronews Albania gives an overview of the geographical distribution of these citizens.

Most of the affected citizens (29.3%) say that they were infected in the period September 2020 - December 2020.

In Tirana, 42.8% of citizens stated that they have been infected by COVID-19. Divided into regions, the highest level of infections is observed in Central Albania.

Of those affected, 60% said they had passed the virus with mild symptoms and 17% with severe symptoms.

Asked if they have anyone from the nuclear family to the first cousins ​​who lost their lives from COVID-19, 7.9% of citizens said yes.

According to the data of the Ministry of Health, since the beginning of the pandemic in Albania, there have been 2,855 victims caused by the coronavirus.

The data came from the national Barometer survey with the company MRB in Euronews Albania, organized on September 21 - October 3 with 1 thousand members in face-to-face interviews.
