A day after the announcement of the energy crisis by the government, the Democratic party denounced today  the purchase of electricity in the country at a high price. Through the secretary of the democratic parliamentary group Arbi Agalliu, PD announces that during the last few days 3 tenders have been held.

"In the first tender, 16.7 million euros were spent to buy electricity, while on the stock exchange it could be bought very well for 12 million euros. So, the Albanian government has spent 4 million euros more.

In the second tender, about 10 million euros were spent to buy electricity, while on the stock exchange it could be bought for only 7.4 million euros. So, 2.5 million euros more have been spent.

Tender number three, the government has bought electricity worth 12 million euros, while on the stock exchange it could be bought for 9.4 million euros. So, 3.4 million euros more. In total, over 10 million euros have been spent from the state budget", Agalliu said.

According to him, the problem is not the increase in the price of electricity on the stock exchange, but the corruption of this government and the affairs in tenders.

"The problem is the affairs in these tenders. The problem is hundreds of patronage workers employed in the electricity sector who receive salaries from the state budget. So, the natural disaster is not the increase of the price on the stock exchange, but it is this government that more and more, steals the pockets of the Albanians ".
