The political representatives of the Albanians in Montenegro consider the invitation of the Montenegrin Prime Minister for talks and possibly for their entry into the government as unserious.
The MP and former Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Montenegro, Genci Nimanbegu estimates that the recent invitations have been increased as a result of the government crisis in Montenegro.
"The prime minister has publicly invited us to be part of the government, but that invitation was not sincere, it was not complete and it was presented for the sake of international opinion as we never received any response from the prime minister," Mr. Nimanbegu told Voice of America in Albanian.
MP Nimanbegu points out that the parliamentary majority in Montenegro is in a visible crisis and that they are looking for a way out of this situation.
"This government has proven to be an experiment called the 'Government of Experts', which has no support from the assembly, nor parliamentary legitimacy, and we see this as an attempt to maintain a government that has many dividing points between them.", emphasizes Mr. Nimanbegu.
This situation, according to the MP and member of the Committee for European Integration in the Parliament of Montenegro, Fatmir Gjeka has marked steps back in the European integration of the country.
"I think we have taken steps backward this year. We are waiting for the report for this 1-year period on the progress of Montenegro towards European integration, but all indicators signal that we have not taken any step forward, but on the contrary, we have taken steps back", said Mr. Gjeka.
Albanian MPs, as well as the Montenegrin opposition, see the way out of the political crisis through a minority government or technical government without excluding early elections.
MP Gjeka thinks that it would be best to create electoral resources and not to misuse them.
"It would be best not to give the pro-Serbian and pro-Russian majority the opportunity to misuse election resources in the campaign and as we have noticed, it can use them in a catastrophic way," said Mr. Gjeka.
Meanwhile, MP Nimanbegu estimates that the way out of this crisis should be a government that will create conditions for more democratic elections.
"The way out of this deep crisis must be a government that will create conditions for democratic and full elections. The option to form a technical government would be better," said Mr. Nimanbegu.
