The Kosovo government, at its last meeting, imposed sanctions on 7 people and a company suspected of links to the Lebanese military group Hezbollah.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Donika Gërvalla-Schëarz stated that these sanctions are imposed in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 1373 on their links with the terrorist organization Hezbollah and their role in its financial network in the Arabian Peninsula.

Sanctions consist of freezing assets, banning travel, and not allowing the availability of funds by individuals and entities in Kosovo.

Prime Minister Albin Kurti also reacted to this decision, saying that Kosovo is directly engaged in the fight against terrorism, radicalism, and violent extremism through legal affirmation, strategic approach, and executive actions, as well as active participation in the Global Coalition.
