Pogradec celebrates with Wine and Chestnuts, a tradition of three decades in a row


 With a cheerful atmosphere and numerous activities, the lake town of Pogradec welcomes the traditional chestnut and wine festival. Many families from Pogradec have inherited from generation to generation a cellar where they produce artisanal wine.

This tradition they continue to maintain and compete over who produces the best wine.

This approach attracts local and foreign tourists, who enjoy the holiday organized in the lake city for about three decades in a row.

"I am from Hungary and I am coming to Pogradec for the first time. It is a very fun place and a good atmosphere, with good music and good wine", says one of the many foreign tourists.

"I came yesterday from Brazil to Tirana and learned about this holiday. I am very happy and Pogradec is a beautiful city."
