Sali Berisha confirms his candidacy in the race for DP chairman; Basha say it's against America

 Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha confirmed today during the Kavaja meeting with Democrats that he will be one of the candidates in the race for the leader of the Democratic Party.

"I invite every delegate from Kavaja, every delegate of the National Assembly to sign to install the primaries, to restore the referendum, to sign of course to open a competition, in which I guarantee that every person who will enter, will have a competition-free, of course, one of them will be Sali Berisha", he said.

Earlier, in his speech, Sali Berisha addressed the PD deputies to reject any agreement with Edi Rama, warning that the responsibility will be great.

A few days ago during the Berat rostrum, Sali Berisha said that this week the date for the meeting of the National Assembly will be announced.

We remind that the leader of the Democrats, Lulzim Basha, stated that he will not allow the meeting of the National Assembly of the Democratic Party: "As long as I am the chairman of the Democratic Party, the Assembly will not be able to make decisions that are against America," Basha said on this issue.

Sali Berisha resigned as chairman of the Democratic Party in 2013, after losing the parliamentary elections. For 8 years, the DP has been led by Lulzim Basha, who was reconfirmed at the head of the party in the elections held on June 13.
