Albanian Police handing over the check to Lisjana Hoxha

 The American-Albanian Law Enforcement Association has today handed over a contribution of 15,000 dollars in solidarity with the family of the Homeland Martyr Saimir Hoxha, who was killed while on duty about a week ago.

Today in the presence of the General Director of the State Police Gledis Nano and the representatives of the American Embassy, ​​a representative of the American-Albanian Association of Police Officers handed over to his wife the check of 15 thousand dollars, as a contribution and as a sign of solidarity, appreciation, and respect for the sublime sacrifice of Saimir Hoxha.

The Director-General of the State Police, Gledis Nano, thanked the representatives of the Association of Police Employees, for the sense of solidarity, as well as the representatives of the American Embassy, ​​for the support shown by them.

"I would never want to participate in such ceremonies, neither as General Director nor as a police officer. I worked with Saimir and I have one more feeling: "I want the State Police to have no more loss of life in its ranks due to duty", said Nano.

He also addressed the wife of the killed officer. "Lisjana Hoxha, the door of the big family of the State Police for you and your children will always be open, you will never be alone. I thank the association for the solidarity, showing us that we are not alone. "Your gesture should serve as a signal to respect and support more police officers, wherever they are, as we have a mission of a common goal and a common enemy, crime", said Nano.

He stressed that the presence of representatives of the US Embassy shows the support that the United States of America and law enforcement agencies give to the State Police.
