Belgrade will host the World Amateur Boxing Championship, which is expected to feature around 650 competitors from 105 countries.

Among the applied competitors are three boxers from Kosovo, who have been selected by the selector Besim Brahimi who will compete in three categories 54kg: Bashkim Bajoku, 63.5kg: Shpetim Bajoku, and 71kg: Patriot Behrami.

The Secretary of the Boxing Federation of Kosovo, Latif Demolli, said that so far there are no problems and expect the same treatment with other participants.

"So far there are no problems with the boxers who go to the championship and we expect the same treatment as all other participants. Days ago I had a call from the AIBA representative (the main delegate of the championship) regarding the accommodation and arrival and so far everything is fine. We request the same treatment with all participants and national teams because we are equal and members of AIBA since 2013. If it does not happen, we will withdraw and will not participate in the World Cup in Belgrade", said Demolli to local media.

The Kosovar boxers, after the basic preparations in Brezovica, have continued with the tactical-technical preparations and from October 6 they are in joint preparations until October 22, when they will travel to Belgrade.
