80% of Albanians in favor of Albania-Kosovo union: poll

 

 Four out of five Albanians in Albania (79.2%) would vote in favor of unification in a single state of Albania and Kosovo if they were called today in a referendum on this issue.

The Euronews Albania Barometer, dedicated to the opinion of the citizens of Albania regarding the Kosovo-Albania relations, has revealed that only about 16% of Albanians are against the union.

The vast majority of Albanians (over 90%) think that Albania and Kosovo are one nation.

However, less than half of Albanians think that a union between the two countries could happen in the next 10 years.

In case of unification, 70% of Albanians think that Tirana should be the capital.

The findings are conducted on 20-29 October 2021 by MRB and Data Centrum at the national level, with 1000 face-to-face interviews in the family.
