Aleksandër Nilaj, lives in New York, USA and is the founder of the Albanian-American Association "Open Hand". His association has been active for more than eight years and strives to help people in need during the pandemic period.

Along with other volunteers, he distributes food every Thursday and Saturday. "I would like to thank all our volunteers for the tireless and hard work you have all done, for the people in need in our community, this week food was distributed to 800 people," he wrote on social networks.
