An Albanian family has almost vanished in a car accident on the Xyniada-Koromilia axis, near the Domokis area in Greece. Their Toyota car collided with a gas tanker, turning it into a handful of scrap metal. According to Greek media, a man and a woman, 46 and 43 years old, as well as their 22-year-old daughter died in the collision.
Only the 17-year-old boy was rescued alive from the wreckage of the car. He is out of danger for life and is receiving treatment from Lamia hospital staff according to Greek media.
Speaking to local media, the representative of the Koromila community, Dimitris Giataganas said that the area where the accident took place has become an extremely dangerous axis recently due to road degradation.
"For decades there have been no accidents here, but recently we have seen a large number of fatal accidents. The asphalt is degraded and with the first rain turns to 'butter'. We are lucky that we who use this road every day have not been killed so far," he said.
