Albanian Leo Kadeli is the winner of the Enlightener of the Year 2021 campaign, organized annually by Bulgarian National Radio. For the first time in the campaign's 8-year history, the winner is not a Bulgarian citizen.
Leo Kadeli is the founder of "Friends, help!", With which about 9000 Bulgarian families have received support for repairing houses, paying bills, buying wheelchairs, food, etc.
"For me, it is important that good exists and does not stop. I have and therefore give. And my friends who support me, almost all have quite modest opportunities. They help in any way they can," Leo Kadeli told BNR.
The solemn ceremony in which the winners were announced among the ten finalists of the campaign took place on the Day of Leaders and Enlightenment of the Bulgarian National Renaissance - November 1.
