Members of the Associations' League of Presevo, Medvedja, and Bujanovac in Switzerland

 Yesterday in the city of Zurich, a meeting took place between the associations of the Presevo Valley in Switzerland, where was established the Association of Associations of Presevo, Medvedja, and Bujanovac in Switzerland (LSHPMBZ).

"These associations of the Presevo Valley operating in Switzerland joined in a single League in order to coordinate their activities in order to strengthen ties with the homeland, contribute to the origin and promote the preservation of the Albanian language, traditions, culture, and history in Switzerland", it is said in the official announcement.

Mr. Fadil Selmani from Medvegja was elected as the chairman of this association by two representatives of the associations from each municipality of the Valley, while the new chairman was elected chairman for a one-year term (rotating).

The establishment of the League comes after the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the associations of the Valley in Switzerland on May 29, 2021, at the Embassy of the Republic of Albania in Bern.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Albania, Mr. Ilir Gjoni, was also present at the establishment of LSHPMBZ, who praised and welcomed the announcement of this Association, congratulated the election of the new Presidency and underlined the unreserved support of the Embassy of the Republic of Albania.
