President Joe Biden visited the port of Baltimore on Wednesday and called for the passage of the $ 1.2 trillion infrastructure bill that Democrats hope will allow his administration to regain momentum and remain stuck in a divided Congress.

Biden, on his second visit to his hometown, where he also declared victory a year ago, characterized the legislation as an act of work and critical recovery to help the nation overcome the economic effects of the pandemic.

Among those who surrounded him and shook his hand was Roland Rexha, an Albanian-American who sent us these photos.

Rexha is one of the most beautiful success stories of the Albanian community. The son of immigrants, a man of all-around training, he is one of the leaders of the Association for the Protection of Naval Engineers (MEBA), a profession he has been practicing for years.

Recently engaged at the National Democratic Institute in Washington DC, he is precisely one of the experts who can lead the historic transformation of the United States infrastructure that is the talk of the day today.

"A great day for our industry and an even better day for the future of our economy, this investment in our country's infrastructure will bring more American jobs and help alleviate some of the problems we've seen across the country when it comes to our supply chain ", Roland Rexha told Illyria after the meeting with President Biden.

Roland Rexha is from Dibra, the son of two parents, Haxhi Rexha, who left Dibra four decades ago, and Nerimine Sina-Rexha, a member of a family who fled Albania during the communist dictatorship.

Today, with his education and career, Roland may become one of the Albanian-Americans in the highest official positions in Washington in the history Albanian community.
