The first Albanian satellite in space will bring real-time data: Rama
Edi Rama speech in the meeting with State Police, November 9, 2021
Prime Minister Edi Rama, in a meeting with the State Police on the 2022 budget, showed how this institution will benefit from the first satellite launched into orbit.

"You have heard and seen a lot of fun with satellites. There is nothing wrong with that, as is healthy for people when they laugh. But with the first satellite that we will launch, we will have real-time data every day and the police will no longer be dependent on how well police officers do their fieldwork but will depend only on data collection", said Rama.

The Prime Minister added: “Also, the police will have real-time data on what the common war is: environmental pollution. Illegal landfills are environmental crimes and the police are responsible for identifying the locations of crime scenes in the territory where they operate, but also the protagonists of these crimes.

"It is intolerable for an area of 3,000 square meters to be filled with gravel in the Soda Forest and the police to neither look or hear anything."
