Vedad Gashi triumphs in American elections

 The Albanian-American candidate, Vedat Gashi, has been re-elected as Westchester Country legislator.

Gashi was re-elected for the second time in a row in the Westchester District legislature, where he will represent the 4th district. Gashi dedicated his victory to his family and supporters who worked tirelessly in his campaign. In his winning speech, Gashi told the audience that this victory would not have happened without the help of those who supported him.

"Thank you to the voters who re-elected me and thank you all for the calls, messages, emails, voicemail, Facebook, and Instagram messages. I am humbled by all the support. I will return every message, but initially I am committed to remove all the posters used in the campaign", writes Vedat Gashi on Facebook.

Vedat's commitment to public service came from his family's experience as activists and refugees, the opportunities he had working with inspirational leaders, and his experience helping to create a country from the ashes of war.
