Albania starts exporting tuna to Japan
Large tuna caught in Albania with destination Japan
Albania now will export tuna fish to Japan. A factory ship is anchored in our waters and it will process the tuna caught in our waters.

Prime Minister Edi Rama was accompanied by the Japanese Ambassador to Tirana Takada Mitsuyuki to see closely the start of this major maritime export operation in Albania.

"Sustainability is very important. "This could bring other businesses and other investments from Japan," said the Japanese ambassador.

"Tuna fishing is very special because the moment it comes in contact with the net he dies."

The tuna is shot with a rifle and a single bullet in the head, then the Albanian ship will take it to the factory ship where the processing will take place.

"The largest maritime export operation of Albania starts today, which includes Japan in the map of Albanian exports since 3 countries in 2013 today has a full 27 destinations.. Albanian fishing industry is already a competitive industry in the international market and after we grew with five times its exports in the first two terms, we aim to double in the third term." Rama writes on Facebook.
