Lulzim Basha while accusing Berisha as former communist |
The chairman of the Democratic Party (DP), Lulzim Basha in a communication to the media strongly condemned the scenes that took place at the headquarters of the Democratic Party, after the attack of Sali Berisha and his supporters, which as he said recalling the infamous year ‘97, where thousands of innocent Albanians were killed among each other.
According to him, Sali Berisha belongs to the past, which has already become a burden and an obstacle for the Democrats in their goal to overthrow Edi Rama.
"This was an ugly spectacle of the past, of that past that the DP has decided to leave behind. The cause of this behavior that reminds you of the past is yesterday's decision of the national council. The time when national council halls were the arena of beatings is over. It is a sign of irreversible separation from the dark side of Sali Berisha. In the attempt to oppose the US, Sali Berisha's folly has no end", said Basha.
Basha described Berisha as an old former communist, a desperate minority that the Democrats will leave behind. He accused the former prime minister of contributing to keeping Edi Rama in power.
