Protesters called by former Prime Minister Sali Berisha have burned one of the Serbian flags placed on the boulevard 'Dëshmorët e Kombit' in Tirana and have ripped several others.

Serbian flags were hoisted during the visit of President Aleksandar Vucic as part of the 'Open Balkan' initiative.

The protest was called by former Prime Minister Sali Berisha and the faction within the Democratic Party that is against the actual leader, Lulzim Basha, who is preferred by the Americans.

The protesters gathered in front of the PD headquarters, in addition to the slogans against Vuçiç, who was invited by Edi Rama, the protesters issued labels for the DP leader, calling "Basha ik!" (Basha go!).

Vucic is in Tirana as part of meetings on agreements stemming from the 'Open Balkan' regional co-operation initiative.

About 1 thousand members of the State Police has been in taking care of the protest.

On the other way,  we remind that Sali Berisha has been constantly accused of being a spy serving to Serbs and Russians, has been accused even as anti-Albanians, supplying oil to Slobodan Milosevic, while he was massacring half of the Albanian nation and NATO had imposed an embargo on him.
