Von Cramon: Serbia continues to deprive Albanians of their fundamental rights
 Viola von Cramon
The European Parliament Rapporteur for Kosovo, Viola von Cramon, has reacted to the abolition of citizenship, the right to vote, and other basic rights for Albanians in the Presevo Valley.

She redistributed on Twitter a post by human rights activist Flora Ferati, who presented data on the decrease in the number of voters in some villages of the municipality of Medvedja.

Von Cramon said that this is happening in the south of Serbia, in a region populated mainly by Albanians.

"Depasivization of Serbian citizenship is continuing, as this table clearly shows. This is happening in a region populated mainly by Albanians, in the south of Serbia. "How and why can ordinary citizens be deprived of their basic rights?" She asked.

The table presented by Ms. Ferati shows that in 2012 in the village of Gjylekreshtë there were 379 registered voters, while in 2019 only 63 voters. In the village of Kapit, in 2012 there were 293 voters, while in 2019 there were 123, in Tupalla in 2012 there were 943 voters, while in 2019 there were 407. In Sijarina in 2012 there were 603 voters while in 2019 there were 177. In Sfricë in 2012 were 807 voters while in 2019 there were 232, in Ramabaja in 2012 there were 433 voters while in 2019 255. In Banja Vjetër in 2012 there were 113 voters, while in 2019 there were only 41, in Gërbac in 2012 were 446 voters while in 2019 there were 133.
