Montenegro's caretaker Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic has clashed with a crowd of pro-Serb protesters gathered in Podgorica against him following his demand for the overthrow of Zdravko Krivokapic's government.

Abazovic came out to confront them, but one of those present mentioned the fact that he is Albanian.

"We are in our country. Albanians will not command us what to do," said one of them.

Citizens gathered on the occasion of the possible formation of a minority government dispersed peacefully after marching in front of the government building in the Montenegrin capital chanting "Come out baby" and "Dritani took the money".

Abazovic backed a motion of no confidence expected to be considered in the Assembly against the government he belongs to. This prompted Prime Minister Krivokapic to remove him from office.

It is still unclear how the crisis in the Montenegrin government will be resolved.
