Two Albanians among those Covid-infected in Serie A, in doubt the Napoli-Juventus duel

The wave of infections in Italy is continuing at a rapid pace. The January 6 super duel between Juventus and Napoli has recently been questioned, as the latter have only 11 players available, not including the goalkeepers.

This is due to the high number of infections by the coronavirus in the team as well as the departure of some of the players to the African Cup. Given this, Spalleti is in big trouble if he wants to stay in the title race.

According to what is reported in the Italian media, the teams have not even trained regularly these weeks due to the health problems of the players. As if that were not enough, Petania and Malcuit have been quarantined, as they have been in contact with people who have tested positive.

The Neapolitans hope the Italian Federation takes action on this challenge and if that does not happen, Spalletti's last chance is to take his eyes off the academy to fill the bench. So far, 51 players or staff members have been reported who have tested positive for Covid-19 and are isolated, including two Albanian footballers Rei Manaj at Spezia and Marko Molla at Bologna.
