The Albanian authorities condemned tonight the recognition by Russia of the independence of the eastern regions of Ukraine.
In his reaction, President Ilir Meta condemned Russia's recognition of the independence of the separatist regions of Eastern Ukraine, Donetsk, and Luhansk.
"This unilateral action is a serious violation of international law, the Minsk agreement, and undermines the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine!"
"Albania stands united with partners and allies in support of Ukraine," said Meta.
The Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka stated today that, "Albania condemns the recognition of independence from Russia, of the eastern regions of Ukraine, Donetsk, and Luhansk".
Minister Xhaçka said in a reaction on Twitter that, "this is a clear violation of international law, the Minsk Agreement and a violation of the territorial integrity and independence of Ukraine."
