After making its debut with a victory over Luxembourg, the national men's basketball team was defeated by Romania on Thursday evening in the match valid for the Eurobasket 2025 qualifiers.

The Albanian Red and Blacks were defeated by the final score 101-88 in Romania, in a relatively difficult duel and fought by both teams.

Led by coach Afrim Bilali, the Albanian representative started well and closed the first period with an advantage with one point. Even in the second, the red and blacks were better after leading with the result 56 -52 while the other 20 minutes everything turned in favor of the locals.

The best player on the floor was Elvis Dusha with 20 points, but that was not enough to avoid this loss. A defeat that weighs on the red and blacks as they now see themselves in second place after Romania, while the next match is on February 27, against Luxembourg in the transfer.
