Agron Hoti is a painter of great proportions. The Albanian artist, who has been living in Verona for 20 years, tells the story of emigration, his large-scale paintings, the spectacle with which he realizes these works, as well as his ambition to soon create the largest painting in the world.
Hoti left Albania in the '90s, a difficult time, especially for artists.
"Like all Albanians in search of a better life, a meaningful life because of course there was a sense of loss in everything, especially for artists, that space was probably a little more sensitive. So we set off to seek our fortune. Someone found it better someone found it a little no better. But I have been fortunate to be in the place of art precisely in Verona which is among the most beautiful cities in the world, not only in Italy. "Starting dreaming, working hard, I have reached this point now that I feel happy."
Italian critics have labeled him as an artist of colors, an artist who makes colors speak, In the first steps he dealt with both sculpture and other disciplines, but in abstract painting he found his strength.
"I was looking for a total liberation of emotions and the only form and way I found was to make the paints dance, which I think to some extent I have achieved," said Hoti to Albanian media.

Cristiano Ronaldo is also an admirer of the Albanian artist who has made part of his collection one of Hoti's paintings.
"Yes, Ronaldo. Now waiting for the picture is Ibrahimovic who is looking forward to it. Ronaldo's painting is a summary of the 5 Champions Leagues he has won. I have summarized them all in one picture, there are 5 cups there if you look closely. The moment of handing over the painting was exciting. I do not have a picture with him because I was in front of him and due to the measures against covid it was impossible to get closer than three meters".
In the future plans, he intends to realize a painting of 8 thousand square meters.
