Albanian soldier killed in Ukraine by Russians

Prime Minister Edi Rama announced that an Albanian wearing the Ukrainian military uniform who lives there has been killed.

"Apart from recent information about a man who was in the media who was killed as a soldier dressed as part of the army, an Albanian man who lived in Ukraine and was married to a Ukrainian woman" Rama declared.

Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Olta Xhaçka announced that there is an Albanian community in Ukraine, while 11 Albanians are part of the OSCE that have been evacuated.

She said that she has communicated with 5 or 6 other citizens living there who have asked for help, where she stressed that the Albanian embassies are ready to receive them.

"There is a very small community of Albanians integrated there for many years and 11 Albanians in the OSCE organization who are part of the evacuation plan, they are all in good health and will return to Albania while the rest of us have been in contact with "5-6 of them, and have asked for assistance to move from Ukraine and we have suggested land routes and our embassies are ready to receive them and we are in constant communication with them."
