This Sunday, the farmers of Devoll are protesting peacefully by turning off the agricultural machines near the Directorate of Agriculture of Devoll.

They have come out in protest over the rising price of oil and chemical fertilizers.

The price of oil has reached 198 leks, while according to farmers some types of chemical fertilizers which are necessary for them have doubled in price.

"We have come to protest the increase in the price of oil, the increase of chemical fertilizers which is unaffordable. It is also the work of testing vehicles. I have an oil pump and I go irrigate with it and pay circulation tax. What is the reason? I do not circulate with it anymore!" Said a farmer.

"Unorientated, unsupported, bankrupt", "Do not leave farmers without hope", are some of the banners of this protest.

A few days ago, the Minister of Finance Delina Ibrahimaj said from Bilisht that the price of oil is expected to increase in the next 6 months.

Regarding this situation, the Minister stressed that the government can intervene with supportive policies when there is sustainable growth.
