Klaidi Sahatçi, the world-famous Albanian violinist, is the first concertmaster (violinist) of the Tonhalle Orchestra of Zurich and is also a well-known professor of music in Italian Switzerland. The artist, who plays solo chamber music, passionate since childhood about classical music, has a rich and successful career on the international stage of Europe and the World. He lives in Meilen since 2001, Canton of Zurich.
Sahatçiu was born in Tirana. Since he was 6 years old, his talent attracted the attention of some of the most prominent personalities of Albanian music life, such as Vangjush Papadhimitri and Robert Papavrami.
In 1988 was created the ensemble "Albanian Rhapsody" and Klajdi Sahatçi is one of the first students to participate in it. This experience would then have a very positive impact on his technical and artistic development and, among other things, would give him the opportunity to play in the most important Albanian halls, but also in those abroad, such as Greece, Italy, Austria.
In April 1992, he was selected by the Higher Institute of Arts where he studied to represent Albania at the Mediterranean Music Festival in Algeria, where he played with the well-known pianist Margarita Kristidhi. At the end of this festival, he is considered by experts as the best young instrumentalist.
After this success, he left for Italy to deepen his knowledge and entered the Conservatory of Milan "Giuseppe Verdi", where he studied for three years with Professor G. Maestri, who, among other things, was the winner of the well-known competition “N. Paganini” in Genoa. In 1995, Sahatçi got graduated with maximum grades (10th grade) and with the "Special Jury Mention", which is the highest title for music students in Italy. He then pursues for two years a master of perfection in Cremona with the famous Italian violinist Salvatore Accardo.
