Present at the ceremony held on this occasion, Prime Minister Edi Rama, said "I am very glad to be here again at the Kukes International Airport to announce the arrival of Wizz Air planes after an important period of talks, discussions, analysis by the company and testing”.

Meanwhile, added the head of government, “with the director of the company we have discussed the other important destination which is England. And I will not leave Kukës until 'The London boys of Kukës' have flights from Kukës to London and from London to Kukës, or from other destinations around with completely symbolic fares."

"Today we are here to give a new opportunity to all residents, not only those of Kukes but of an entire region that includes the part beyond the mountains in Kosovo and the part of North Macedonia, opening 4 destinations, in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland. There are three places with 4 destinations 2 times a week, while the travel prices as you saw are 19 euros, for each destination".
