Over 1 million euros fake money caught in Tirana Airport from Cameroonian man

 1 million and 75 thousand fake euros have been seized by the police in Tirana International Airport in an attempt to enter Albania.

Police have handcuffed the possessor of the money, Cameroonian citizen Josoue Ngankam.

Euronews Albania writes that the 53-year-old with a residence permit in France was transiting from Turkey to our country.

During the control in the suitcase of this citizen were found a significant amount of suspected counterfeit banknotes and plates (papers used to produce banknotes of various denominations).

The 53-year-old was seized 1 million 75 thousand euros suspected of counterfeiting, plates, special paper for the production of euro banknotes, and a mobile phone.

From the investigative actions, it is suspected that this citizen, in cooperation with other citizens in our country, would issue counterfeit banknotes on Albanian market.
