A Swedish athlete has been found guilty of killing the Albanian Alex (Flamur) Beqiri. A London court has found guilty the Swedish "kickboxer" Anis Hemissi. Flamur Beqiri, 36, was shot dead on the doorstep of his house in front of his wife and son on Christmas day, 2019.

Security cameras have revealed the moments shortly before the crime took place, where Beqiri is seen approaching the house. Another video shows the moment when the executor, Anis Hemissi, appears dressed as a cleaning worker and monitors the movements in the Albanian's house. Foreign media reported that his elimination is related to several similar murders among Albanian gangs in Europe, emphasizing that he was among the most wanted in Sweden. Beqiri was otherwise known as a producer. The victim, who was of Swedish and Albanian nationality, despite claiming to be involved in music, was in fact involved in the international drug trade from Spain to the Netherlands and beyond. Prior to the murder, according to authorities, he was careful and guarded at all times.

How did the crime happen?

Flamur ‘Alex’ Beqiri, 36, was shot around 9am on Tuesday as his wife screamed in horror outside their Battersea home. After being shot he was assisted by a doctor and a nurse who lived on the same street near the Thames but could not be survived. The case linked to some of his former associates and friends being killed after he emigrated to the UK three years ago. In 2008 he was one of the most wanted people in Sweden after detectives classified him as part of an international drug gang that transferred hashish worth about 2 million pounds to Scandinavia.

Who was Flamur Beqiri, known as Alex?

Beqiri married his wife, Debora Krasniqi, in Cernobbio near Lake Como, Italy, in October 2018. In the article in Grace Ormonde Wedding Style magazine, which published a random photo that shocked Britain, it was revealed that the couple met for the first time through Facebook. Ms. Krasniqi told the magazine that the couple were initially just friends but later fell foolishly in love. "There was always something special about our relationship," she said. Speaking of the special day, she said: ‘I just saw him and my son, and everything seemed so perfect. As we walked as a man and a woman, we turned to each other, smiling and saying 'Pfff, thank God we are together." But their love would soon fade.
