Dozens of Tirana citizens and Ukrainians living in Albania gathered in front of the Russian embassy to protest the war in Ukraine. "No war" is one of the banners they hold in their hands, while another reads "Solidarity with the Ukrainian people".

Vladimir Putin ordered the start of the offensive in Ukraine at 5:55 a.m. Moscow time and the first grenades and rockets were fired just minutes later. Emergency sirens sounded in the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv.

Terrified, people rushed to leave. A large number of cars were seen on the streets, as panic engulfed the residents of Kyiv.

Those who did not leave hurried to the basements, while Kiev metro stations are also reportedly turning into makeshift bunkers. Eyewitnesses told CNN that subway stations were overcrowded, taking large quantities of food with them.
