Xherdan Shaqiri, the prominent player of Switzerland, of Albanian parents, is coming to play in the USA. He will be part of the Chicago Fire FC club that has broken its record by paying $ 7.5 million for Shaqiri.
Shaqiri is thus leaving Lyon, to come to the city where a large Albanian community lives, with an old history. This city is also the birthplace of the famous actor, John Belushi, son of Albanian emigrants.
Shaqiri has signed a contract that will keep him in Chicago until 2024. Previously, he played with big European teams such as Bayern Munich, Inter Milan and Liverpool.

Shaqiri won the hearts of Albanians everywhere in the world, especially in the 2018 World Cup, when together with Granit Xhaka they scored two goals against Serbia and celebrated by making the sign of the eagle.
