230 lek per liter were paid for the oil this Saturday in Albania by the citizens from 197 l / liter that was the day before.

For vehicle users this immediate increase of 30 leks is unaffordable.

"I do not understand where we are going, this 230 lek is a disgrace to God", says an indignant citizen.

"Impossible, unaffordable," says another.

"Too bad we do not know what to do," said another vehicle user.

The increase in the price of oil up to 230 leks per liter this March, has exceeded the highest level of 190 leks reached in the years 2008-2009. "

The Consumer Association has stated that on Monday, we will file with the Competition Authority a request for an in-depth investigation into the fuel market in Albania. Otherwise, protests are expected.

Currently, on international stock exchanges, a barrel of oil sells for up to 118 dollars. This is the highest level since February 2013.
