The well-known Albanian songstress, Elsa Lila, has been detained by the Italian carabinieri on Wednesday, accused as part of a structured criminal group that dealt with drug trafficking. Italian media have published images of the arrest of Albanian singer Elsa Lila during the operation to crack down on an Italian-Albanian group dealing with drug trafficking in Rome.
In the published footage she appears in a black coat and a pink hood on her head while Italian police have covered her face because the case is still under investigation. Elsa Lila had the role of the financier of the criminal group of 13 people, of which so far only 9 have been arrested.
OPERATIONS WHERE ELSA LILA WAS ARRESTED
According to Italian media, the operation was finalized in the early hours of Wednesday morning by the Anti-mafia District Directorate of Rome. The Blues have issued 13 arrest warrants of which only 9 have been executed so far.

In this scheme is involved the boxer Petrit Bardhi known as "Titty". He was arrested earlier in 2015 along with Arben Zogu in a Guardia di Finanza operation.

Elsa Lila is one of the famous personalities of the Albanian song, but she has successfully debuted in Italy at the Sanremo Festival. She first sang in Italy in 2003 with the song Valeria, while in 2007 she participated again with the song "Il senso della vita" (meaning of life).
Elsa Lila was born in Tirana, Albania and her father was a singer of the former Albanian state choir, while her mother was a violinist, so both her parents raised her close to music and theater, giving her a great love for the arts.

Albanian singer, Elsa Lila was involved in politics years ago, when the then Socialist Party in opposition went on a hunger strike in the Tent in front of the Prime Minister Headquarters.

Elsa Lila in 2010 joined the deputies in the hunger strike, where she called on citizens to support the Socialist Party in the demand for the opening of ballot boxes in the 2009 elections.
