Anatoly Solovianenko, General Director of the stage at the National Opera Theater of Kyiv, is coming to Tirana for the "Marie Kraja" festival. Fleeing the war in his country, the Ukrainian director has found open the doors of art in Albania and is collaborating in the realization of an activity where 15 competitors from 4 continents will participate.
Competition of operatic singers; an extraordinary concert with arias and songs from the most famous and selected of the world repertoire; stunning ballets and costumes: The eighteenth edition of the International Opera Festival "Marie Kraja" will take place in Tirana on March 29-30, at 19.00 on the stage of the Opera and Ballet Theater.
They will be judged by an international jury, composed of directors of major European operas, giving participants the opportunity to make valuable strides in their future careers in addition to competition and awards. Thanks to the participation of world-famous operatic names in the jury, the festival "Marie Kraja" has become sought after by young artists from around the world.
The jury has made the preliminary selection and in the final nights, there will be 15 artists competing. They will be built in the form of a spectacle by Ukrainian director Anatoly Solovianenko. The conductor of the orchestra comes from England and is the well-known Martin Andre. The festival will be broadcast on the Albanian Public Radio and Television (RTSH) and the television direction has been entrusted to Redi Treni.
The presenter of the festival is a name closely associated with "Marie Kraja", the famous Albanian soprano Enkeleda Kamani. She triumphed in this scene in 2015 and from there started an excellent international career. Kamani is now back as a presenter, but also to sing, to tell her success story, and to be perhaps a good omen for the contestants.
On both nights of the festival, there will be a ballet troupe, where this year for the first time many young dancers take the stage. For their promotion will serve a special parade, organized by the artist Najada Hamza, who has selected costumes from the most famous works of the opera and ballet scene and which are realized by young costume designers just graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts as a fashion designer.
In this way, students who have just finished their studies with excellent results are given an opportunity to appear and be promoted in the field of art and the labor market. In addition to its main mission, the competition and the promotion of new talents, the "Marie Kraja" festival is also two concert nights to be enjoyed in the hall of the Opera and Ballet Theater.
