The office of the Canadian Embassy in Italy (the office covering Italy, Albania, and San Marino) is now run by a new name. Elissa Golberg presented her Credentials to the President of the Republic Ilir Meta yesterday. She has replaced Alexandra Bugailiskis, who has held this post since August 2017. Golberg took up her new post in December last year but officially appeared in Albania yesterday.

The news was made public by President Meta, who in his Facebook post stressed that he talked with the new representative of the Canadian state about the importance, especially in the interest of the Albanian community in Canada, of finalizing the Agreement "On Social Security" and agreements Investment Protection and Promotion and "Abolition of Double Taxation”.
