382 thousand chickens have died as a result of bird flu. The Ministry of Agriculture of Albania announced that the sale of poultry and their transport from the farm to the markets in the affected counties has been banned, as reported by Euronews.

So far there are three infections places: Durrës, Dibra, and Korça, while the process of burying dead chickens continues.

"It is important for traders and the public to know that there is an order in force to take restrictive measures to prevent caviar influenza in poultry, in open spaces, and in live animal markets. This order will be implemented in the three regions: Durrës, Dibër and Korçë", said the Deputy Minister Ermira Gjeci.

On Sunday, the first case of bird flu was confirmed in a chicken coop in Durrës.

For this situation, the Kosovo Food and Veterinary Agency took the decision to ban the import of poultry from the city of Durres.
