Starting on April 1, new visas to the US for Albanians will be valid for 10 years and not just 3 as it has been.
The news was announced by the US Embassy in Tirana. As we celebrate 100 years of relationship between the United States and Albania, Ambassador Yuri Kim shared the good and very important news, which will make it easier for Albanians who want to visit friends and family in the United States.
"As we celebrate 100 years of US-Albanian relations, I am pleased to share with you the wonderful news, which I believe will bring Americans and Albanians even closer together. Every year many Albanians are visiting the US as more and more Americans are visiting Albania. We will now make it easier for Albanians who want to visit friends and family in America, see our countries and build business relationships. Starting from April 1, the validity of a new tourist or business visa will be extended from three to ten years. This means that if you are an Albanian citizen who obtains a tourist or business visa on April 1, or later, your visa will be valid for ten years, not just three as it was. You will be able to go and come to the US under the relevant laws and regulations, without having to renew your visa until 2032. The US decision to extend the visa to ten years reflects the fact that Albanians are increasingly more are following the rules when visiting the US. I hope we find even more ways to bring Albanians and Americans closer together. We look forward to welcoming you to the US and look forward to another 100 years of friends. Thank you." said Yuri Kim.
