Brothers Argëtim and Arijon Imeri, originally from the Presevo Valley, are part of the Swiss army.

The two sons of the Imeri family living in Zurich continue their military service, according to the rules and conditions of this state.

There are many Albanians who today wear the Swiss military uniform, however so far there is no exact number of this number because they are identified as Swiss citizens.

Unofficial figures circulating in the databases of Swiss institutes and media say that about 2 thousand Albanians today may be part of the army of this country.

But the exact number can never be known, because the official response of the military authorities is that Switzerland has Swiss soldiers and not foreign soldiers or it is a "multiethnic" army.

The Swiss Army is an army led by and the head of the army elected by the Federal Council. The Swiss army has about 150,000 active soldiers, and close to 32,000 reservists. The age of these soldiers is from 18 to 33 years old. The military budget is extremely large (in 2013, the Swiss army had a budget of 4.4 billion francs).

The basic tasks of this army are: preventing war, defending the state, maintaining peace at the international level, defending against dangers (whether virtual, extremist, etc.), as well as assistance from disasters within the state.
