At the University of Zagreb, the subject History of the Albanian people has become part of the curriculum since yesterday. The module was opened at the Faculty of Croatian Studies, this time as an elective course - History of the Albanian people, where history students will be taught about Albanian history, identity, and culture.
This course will be taught by an eminent Croatian professor. Present at the first lecture were also the Albanian MP in the Croatian Parliament, Mrs. Ermina Lekaj Përlaskaj, as well as the Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo in Croatia Dr. Martin Berishaj.
In her speech, the Albanian MP thanked the lecturers, prof. Joško Pavković, prof. Stjepan Ćosić, and said also Professor Berishaj will be alongside Croatian professors, who is now our ambassador here in Croatia.

Dr. Berishaj, in his speech, expressed his satisfaction that they will be lecturers in this subject at the same time and that he will offer Croatian students the missing parts so far, that is, that of the history of Albanian political thought.
Prof Ćosić, who was also the director of the Dubrovnik Archive, added that the subject of Albanian history is a good omen for Croatian science in the department of Croatian history and that it will be enriched with knowledge from the subject of Albanian history, which students will pave the way to better understand the Albanian scientific dimension from Illyria to the present day.
