179 million euros entered Albania from fiscal havens in 2021

 17% of foreign investments that have come to Albania during the last year, resulting from companies registered in tax havens.

According to data provided by Euronews, during 2021, 179 million euros have been declared invested by areas that maintain the confidentiality of owners.

In total, foreign investments amounted to 1 billion 31 million euros. Higher cash flows coming from offshore areas result in the second half of the year.

These companies increased investments by 60% more than in 2020.

In Albania, the money coming from Cyprus has increased again. 201 million euros is the total value of money invested in the country, of which 17 million euros only last year.

Investments from Panama have stopped, while firms registered on the Virgin and Cayman Islands have withdrawn money from Albania to their home countries.
