It is now official, a street in Morris Park of the Bronx in New York will bear the name of the erudite of the Albanian Nation and American Fan Noli.

The initiative taken by former New York City Councilor and New York State Assemblyman Mark Gjonaj will be finalized on April 9 at a ceremony at 12:00 (local time) at 1201 Morris Park Ave., Bronx, NY, 10461.

The placement of the plaque on the street that will be named "Fan Noli" was scheduled to take place in February during the "Fire" convention but was blocked by Mark Gjonaj's successor in New York City, Marjorie Velazquez. The Albanian community in the Bronx also staged a protest against her decision.
