"The Human Rights Council promotes universal respect for all fundamental human rights and freedoms," said Prime Minister Edi Rama following the suspension of Russia by the Human Rights Council, a decision taken at the UN General Assembly.
In his reaction on social networks, the head of government published the votes of the countries, where Albania has voted in favor of suspending Russia.
The #HRC promotes “universal respect for the protection of all #humanrights & fundamental freedoms for all & address violation of human rights”. #Russia's war in Ukraine & its horrible crimes run against all this. Rama also writes that the world will not tolerate Russian aggression.
"The Human Rights Council promotes universal respect for all fundamental human rights and freedoms, and addresses their violation. Russia's war in Ukraine and its horrific crimes are against it all. The UN General Assembly showed again today that the world will not tolerate it," Rama wrote.
