A 62-year-old Albanian woman was found dead in her bedroom in an apartment on Tsopanakou Street in Gyzi (Athens).

"The woman from Albania was found dead by EKAB ambulances, who were informed about the body by her husband", local media writes.

The lifeless body was found in the bedroom of the house, there are bruises, while in the apartment there were no signs of rape. Her husband, who has notified EKAB, has not been found and is being sought by authorities for explanations, while the possibility of a criminal offense is being considered.

Meanwhile, according to the testimonies, her husband, also of Albanian origin, ran to the house next door and asked for help from a neighbor, who saw the 62-year-old dead. In fact, the man with the help of his neighbor called EKAB.

The couple's neighbors in Gyzi describe the victim's husband as a person who drank frequently and became involved in quarrels. However, they point out that they had never heard of the couple fighting.

They say the woman had serious health problems and do not rule out that her death came due to pathological causes.
